Woman Killed By Metrolink Train In Glendale

GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — A woman ran in front of a Metrolink train Monday evening and was killed, according to Glendale police.

Dispatchers received several calls from witnesses who saw the woman run onto the tracks near the intersection of Doran Street and San Fernando Road in Glendale just before 6 p.m.

Police say they believe the woman, who was in her late 40s or 50s, intended to commit suicide. She was pronounced dead at the scene and has not been identified.

The train stopped after the woman was struck, and tracks were closed between Glendale and Burbank.

There were no injuries on board the train.
