Woman Killed, 3 Others Injured In Willowbrook Crash

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 21-year-old woman was killed and three others were injured Thursday in a solo-vehicle crash in Willowbrook.

The accident happened just after 1 a.m. at the intersection of South Central Avenue and East 124th Street, the California Highway Patrol said.

For unknown reasons, the driver of the silver Chrysler Sedan lost control with the car hitting a center median and a tree.

"Two occupants were ejected, with one sustaining fatal injuries," the CHP said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other women, who suffered injuries ranging from moderate to major, were transported to a local trauma center. The extent of their injuries was unknown.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
