Woman In Her 70s Attacked, Injured While Exercising At Rose Bowl

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — Police Tuesday were searching for a suspect wanted for attacking and injuring a woman who was exercising at the Rose Bowl.

The woman in her 70s was walking with her husband around 9:45 p.m. Saturday when the incident occurred, according to Lt. John Luna.

A suspect allegedly approached the Glendale residents at Rosemont Avenue and Arroyo Boulevard and attempted to steal the victim's fanny pack.

The couple yelled for help, and the man ran away to a bronze, four-door, older-model vehicle before fleeing the scene, officials said.

The woman suffered minor cuts to her arms.

The suspect was described as a black man between 20 and 30 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build and dark complexion. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a black jacket and dark jeans.

Three suspects were arrested in March after assaulting and robbing an 87-year-old man who was exercising in a similar area. That victim suffered severe head trauma.
