Woman Finds Cache Of Dummy Rifle Grenades, Rocket Launcher While Cleaning Out Parents' Alhambra Home

ALHAMBRA (CBSLA.com) — A cache of 26 dummy military rifle grenades and a rocket launcher were found in an Alhambra home on Saturday, authorities said.

At about noon, officers were called to a home on the 200 block of South El Moline Street after a woman cleaning out her parents' home found the weapons, an Alhambra police sergeant said.

Police called a Sheriff's Department arson and explosives squad, along with the Alhambra fire department.

Authorities evacuated the area until the bomb squad determined that the items were just practice rounds and removed them for proper disposal. The scene was cleared shortly after 2 p.m.
