SAN CLEMENTE (CBSLA.com) — A woman in her 40s was injured after a car slammed into an AT&T store in San Clemente Thursday.

The victim was dragged on the hood of a car to the back of the store on Camino de los Mares after the crash, which unfolded before 3 p.m.

She had been standing near the counter with her mother, who somehow managed to jump out of the way.

"About that time, the car hit her and threw her up on the hood and then crashed into that wall with Cindy on the hood," Dorthy Messer, the mother of the woman. "It was horrible."

The woman was transported to the hospital after sustaining minor injuries to her leg.
