Woman Dies, Man Wounded In Shooting At Long Beach Condo

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com/AP) — Long Beach police say a shooting that killed a woman and critically injured a man at a condominium complex may have stemmed from a domestic violence incident.

Lt. David Faris says two infants found inside the residence in the 1000 block of Park Avenue after the shooting late Monday were unharmed.

Faris says arriving officers, who were answering a possible domestic violence call, discovered a man and a woman, both estimated to be in their 20s, each with a single gunshot wound to their upper bodies.

The woman died at the scene and the man was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Detectives are trying to determine if it was a murder-suicide attempt. A weapon was recovered.
