Woman Found Dead In Sylmar Park

SYLMAR (CBSLA) – Authorities are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a Sylmar park Friday morning.

According to Los Angeles police, the woman's body was discovered at 6:15 a.m. at Carey Ranch Park, which is located at Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Crestknoll Drive.

The victim was described as a Hispanic woman in her 20s, police said. Her name was not released.

There was no immediate word on a cause of death.
