About 61 tests were confiscated. The kits appeared to include an alcohol prep pad and an item labeled "Rapid Test." The paper bag also appeared to contain face masks.
Wang had been selling the kits on Craigslist, according to the LAPD, which said none of the COVID-19 test kits recovered had been tested to meet United States safety standards and could pose a risk to anyone using them.
The LAPD says people should remember free testing is available throughout the county with an appointment.
