Woman Arrested In Sylmar Hit-And-Run That Killed Pedestrian

SYLMAR (CBSLA.com) — A Canyon Country woman faced charges Tuesday in connection with the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian in Sylmar, police said.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was struck about 7 a.m. Monday in the 15500 block of Foothill Boulevard and died at the scene, police said. His name was withheld pending family notification.

Susan Hensley, 65, was arrested Monday night and booked on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, LAPD Detective Bill Bustos said.

The victim had left his disabled pickup truck and was walking in the bike lane when he was hit by a car, which kept going.
