Woman Allegedly Stabs Acquaintance At Temecula Birthday Party

TEMECULA (CBSLA.com) — A birthday party at a Temecula restaurant turned into a bloody affair when a woman allegedly stabbed one of the attendees.

Murrieta resident Stephanie Federico, 23, was arrested Thursday night after deputies spotted her running away from the party, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Sgt. Jon Wade.

Deputies were sent at 8:46 p.m. to a home in the 41500 block of Margarita Road after receiving a report that a woman at a party had been stabbed twice.

The victim was taken to a hospital and expected to survive, Wade said. She was an alleged acquaintance of the suspect.

Officials have not released a motive for the stabbing.
