Woman, 70, On Life Support After Corona Hit-And-Run

CORONA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a 70-year-old woman was on life support Monday, days after a hit-and-run accident in Corona.

Marvel Smith was struck Friday near Corona Care on El Sobrante Road close to Circle City Drive by a vehicle police say subsequently drove off.

The vehicle was believed to be a mid- to late-'90s Ford Mustang with front-end damage.

Smith was transported to a hospital, where she remains on life support.

The staff of Corona Care, where Smith lived, visited her at the hospital but couldn't comment.

Anyone with more information about the crash was asked to call police.
