Woman, 5-Year-Old Grandson Seriously Hurt In L.A. Hit-And-Run

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A woman and her 5-year-old grandson were hospitalized after they were struck by a hit-and-run driver in Los Angeles, police said.

Los Angeles police said Emma Cermeno, 48, and the child were struck while crossing northbound on Beverly Boulevard around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.

After the crash, police said the suspect vehicle continued eastbound. It was described as a possibly older-model gray Lincoln Navigator.

Both Cermeno and the child were transported to a hospital, where she was stable.

The boy was in serious condition.
