Woman, 27, Fatally Shot Inside Car In Downtown LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Homicide Detectives with the LAPD's Central Division are searching for the suspect(s) responsible for gunning down a 27-year-old woman.

On Friday, January 17, around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a radio call in the 600 block of Santa Fe Avenue.

Upon arrival, officials said they discovered the body of 27-year-old Sonia Soto.

She was slumped over the steering wheel with a gunshot wound.

Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded and declared Soto dead at the scene.

A motive for the murder is unknown.

Detectives are asking for the public's help in trying to solve the homicide.
