Witnesses Wanted Following Santa Ana Hit-And-Run That Left 1 Dead, 2 Injured

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Police are seeking witnesses or information following a deadly hit-and-run collision in Santa Ana.

Around 12:19 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the crash on Hazard Avenue just west of Harbor Boulevard.

Police say, based on the evidence at the scene, it appeared that three pedestrians were standing in a two-way turn lane when they were struck by a dark-colored sport utility vehicle.

The driver of the SUV continued eastbound on Hazard Avenue, according to police, and remains at large.

Two of the pedestrians were taken to the hospital. One died while heading to the hospital.
