Authorities Investigating After Body Found Floating In Wilmington

WILMINGTON (CBSLA) — The Los Angeles Fire Department Friday was assisting Port Police with the recovery of a body discovered floating in the water.

According to the department, the body was discovered at about 3:30 p.m. 100 yards offshore from the Banning's Landing Community Center.

The victim's age and gender were not immediately released, nor were the manner or circumstances surrounding the death.
