Wildfire Conditions Linger Across Southern California

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Wildfire conditions continued to threaten areas across the Southland Friday due to dry vegetation, low humidity and strong Santa Ana winds.

According to the National Weather Service, a fire weather watch with an expectation of "critical fire weather conditions" will remain in effect from this evening until early Sunday evening for most of Los Angeles and Ventura counties.

The watch will not apply to the San Gabriel and Antelope Valleys, forecasters said.

Red flag conditions are likely to occur during this time frame.

Temperatures will be around 10 degrees above normal, reaching low-to-mid-80s through the weekend.
