Detectives Investigating Shooting At Westlake Village Hotel

WESTLAKE VILLAGE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Thursday were investigating an apparent shooting inside at Ventura County hotel.

The Sheriff's Office received several 911 calls around 2:30 a.m. about shots fired inside the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, located at 880 South Westlake Blvd., officials said.

"A couple loud booms and then the fire alarm went off again after that . . . a lot of noise all night long," said guest Vicki Harris.

There were no reports of any injuries or arrests.

"A search of the hotel has been conducted and there is no threat or danger to hotel guests or employees," the VCSO said.

The incident was under investigation and deputies were reviewing surveillance video for a possible suspect.
