West Covina Police Say Missing Man, 77, Located By Border Patrol Returning To US

WEST COVINA (CBSLA.com) — Freeway signs were lit up across Southern California Sunday morning in an urgent search for a missing senior citizen.

Larry Thomas, 77, of West Covina was reported missing by his family on Saturday.

He was found safe and sound Sunday, police said.

Thomas was located by border patrol agents when he returned to the U.S. from Mexico.

He was later reunited with his family after being checked out at a local hospital. He was said to be in good health.

Police said Thomas had last been Thursday at 9 p.m. at The Cove bar on S. Glendora Avenue.

Police said Thomas may be suffering from beginning stages of dementia. It was unclear if he knew his family was looking for him.
