Water Restored After Outage At Women's Jail In Lynwood

LYNWOOD (AP) — Authorities say water is running again at the main Los Angeles County jail for women after a two-day outage.

Sheriff's officials say crews completed repairs to a broken pipe early Sunday at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood.

The break was reported Friday afternoon.

Officials say pallets of bottled drinking water were brought in for the inmates. Food was prepared off-site and brought into the jail.

Inmate visits were not interrupted, and medical and other inmate services also continued.
