Water Pipe Bursts In El Sereno, Leaving 20 Customers Without Service

EL SERENO (CBSLA.com) — Crews were working Saturday to repair an underground pipe that burst in El Sereno overnight, leaving 20 customers without water.

Los Angeles fire crews responded to flooding in the 5200 block of East Huntington Drive South around 2:30 a.m.

Firefighters arrived to find a broken water main.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power told CBS2/KCAL9 an eight-inch pipe ruptured at 5300 East Huntington Drive South near Lifur Avenue.

Water was shut off in the area and was expected to be restored around 2 p.m.
