Drainpipe Construction In Eagle Rock To Be Completed By Saturday

EAGLE ROCK (CBSLA.com) — Crews Thursday were working on a scheduled repair on a drain pipe in the San Gabriel Valley.

Officials reported they are  repairing a 42-inch valve located on a 68-inch main water line for the Eagle Rock Reservoir.

Authorities said that it was necessary to drain the water in order to make the repairs to the area but were unsure of the exact amount of water that was released.

Officials began working at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Colorado Avenue and Loleta Avenue, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power said.

There were no major street closures and no reported water interruption as a result of the construction, officials said.

DWP workers hope to have the project completed by Saturday.
