Water Main Leak Floods Sepulveda Boulevard Near LAX

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A water main leak has shut down several lanes of traffic on a heavily-trafficked route to Los Angeles International Airport.

The water main leak on southbound Sepulveda at Century Boulevard was first reported at about 1:45 p.m., according to Los Angeles Airport police. The subsequent flood of water appears to have shut down at least three lanes of traffic.

Traffic on southbound Sepulveda is heavy, and Los Angeles Airport police officials say anyone on their way to the airport should try to avoid that route while crews work on the leak.
