Water Main Break Closes Part Of La Cienega Boulevard In West Hollywood

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA) — Los Angeles County Fire Department units responded to a water main break in West Hollywood Thursday evening.

The break occurred at the 600 block of La Cienega Boulevard just north of Melrose Avenue.

The southbound side of La Cienega Boulevard was shut down to traffic from Melrose Place to Melrose Avenue as water poured out onto the street.

According to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, 16 customers, all business and commercial buildings, were affected by the break. Service was expected to be restored by 6:30 a.m. Friday.

It was unclear what caused the water main break.
