Water Main Break Knocks Out Water Service, Restrooms At LAX Terminal

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A water main break Monday  under a parking structure knocked out water service one terminal at Los Angeles International Airport, officials said.

The problem was reported about 10 a.m. at Parking Structure 2A, said Nancy Castles of Los Angeles World Airports.

No flights were affected by the water outage.

Some passengers at the airport posted on Twitter that bathrooms were not working, and some of the restaurants also lost water service.

"Concessions in Terminal 2 are serving only pre-packaged goods," Castles said.

The parking structure was closed to the public until further notice. Owners may still claim their vehicles in and exit for free.

Emergency crews have been called in to address the issue. The LAFD remained on fire watch at Terminal 2.
