Ruptured Redondo Beach Water Main Repaired, Service Restored

REDONDO BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A water main break that left residents in an area of Redondo Beach without service for around five hours Saturday has been repaired.

The Redondo Beach Police Department reported around 8 a.m. a break had occurred in the area of Avenue A and Pacific Coast Highway.

Residents and businesses between PCH, Prospect Avenue, Avenue A and Avenue B were expected to be without water for an "unknown duration," police said.

California Water Service was working to address the problem.

Redondo police reported the water main had been fixed and water service restored around 1 p.m.

Further information was not immediately available.
