Broken Water Main Floods Beverly Grove Neighborhood

BEVERLY GROVE (CBSLA.com) — Crews Thursday shut off water in a Beverly Grove neighborhood to repair a broken pipe.

The water main ruptured around 2 a.m. in the 6600 block of West Lindenhurst Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

The street became flooded, along with several lawns, as a result of the incident.

It remains unclear how many customers were affected.

LADWP crews have not estimated when water will be restored in the area.

The cause of the rupture remains under investigation.
