WATCH: Teen Fights Off Bear In Yard Of Bradbury Home

BRADBURY (CBSLA) – A brave teen girl in the San Gabriel Foothills community of Bradbury came to the defense of her dogs when a bear showed up in her yard over Memorial Day weekend.

The 34-second security video provided to CBSLA shows the mama bear and her two cubs strolling in on a brick fence.

The homeowner's four dogs come running out, barking madly at the bear, which begins to swipe at them.

At that point, the homeowner's 17-year-old daughter comes storming out, and in an attempt to defend her dogs, shoves the bear off the fence.

The bear appears to scurry away.

There was no word of any injures to the teen or the dogs.

Bears are a common sight in the San Gabriel foothills. Last September, a bear was caught on video taking a dip in a backyard pool in Sierra Madre.
