Suspects in stolen truck escape the CHP during pursuit in LA

Two suspects involved in a high-speed pursuit were able to escape the California Highway Patrol after ditching the vehicle underneath an overpass bridge Wednesday morning.

The pursuit started in Baldwin Park as the driver headed west on the I-10. The ground units of CHP backed off the truck as it entered surface streets in Central City West.

Air units continued to track the vehicle as it drove recklessly through surface streets before it went underneath an overpass on the southside of downtown Los Angeles.

An LAPD unit responded and found the truck parked at Hooper Ave underneath the I-10 Freeway.

The truck was found empty with both doors open. The woman was seen walking down 15th Street and the man went walking in a different direction.

Both suspects are still on the loose.
