'Walking Dead' Opens At Universal Studios Hollywood

UNIVERSAL CITY (CBSLA.com) — Universal Studio's newest attraction is a creepy, haunting walk through the world of the living dead.

Based on the popular TV series, the Walking Dead attraction features what Universal calls a "fully immersive journey" into a zone of zombies.

Visitors dodge hungry walkers and make their way through the apocalyptic set, which includes a hospital like the one character Rick Grimes woke from a coma in during the show's first season.

There are blood stains and bullet holes everywhere, according to Universal Studios, which offers a free online tour.

It shows walkers eager to feed on humans grabbing at chain link fences, which visitors pass by.

Also featured: a burning moonshine cabin, prison and the Del Amo canned food plant, all familiar scary scenes for Walking Dead fans.
