'Walking Dead' Attraction Set To Become Year-Round Maze At Universal Studios

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - The "Walking Dead" maze is set to become a permanent attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Universal decided to make this maze a year-round attraction after the proven success it had at the park's last four Halloween Horror Nights.

The ride is most likely to be built on the former location of Universal's House of Monsters located on the upper lot near the main entrance of the park. The House of Monsters attraction was torn down last November.

Reported to be significantly more extreme than recent Horror Night's versions of the maze, the maze is set to include more detailed set designs, props, costumes, makeup, and Animatronic figures.

No opening date has been set, but the new attraction will be the second major renovation the theme park will be adding after their new Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens April 7.
