Vin Scully To Travel To Australia To Call Dodgers-Diamondback

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - Hall of Fame announcer Vin Scully will travel to Australia to call the Dodgers' opening series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Scully, 84, signed another one-year deal in August to call his 65th season, the longest of any sports broadcaster with a team.

Australia will be a very rare road-trip for the broadcaster since he's been only calling Dodger home and away games in California and Arizona since 2012.

Both teams, who will be the first ever major league teams to play in Australia, will play Spring Training games in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday, March 16 before departing that evening and arriving in Sydney on the morning of Tuesday, March 18.
