Villaraigosa Buys $2.5M Home In Hollywood Hills

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Antonio Villaraigosa turned his back on Washington and now he's headed for the Hollywood Hills.

The 62-year-old former Los Angeles mayor, who last week announced that he would not run for the seat of outgoing Senator Barbara Boxer, has bought a $2.5 million home in the hills above Hollywood.

The Los Angeles Times reports Monday that the 3,600-square-foot 1977 contemporary home has 360-degree views of the Hollywood sign, the Griffith Park Observatory, downtown Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean.

It has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and an art studio.

Villraigosa was mayor of LA from 2005 to 2013, when he was termed out and replaced by Eric Garcetti.
