Video: Teens Film Themselves Trashing Multi-Million-Dollar Estate On Halloween

COTO DE CAZA (CBSLA.com) — A video of group of destructive teenagers, trashing and breaking into a multimillion dollar home in Coto de Caza on Halloween night, has gone viral on the internet.

The video, which appears to have been shot by one of the teens, shows the belligerents shattering windows and vandalizing the home, sparking a criminal investigation in Orange County.

The owners of the property revealed that invitations to an illegal, unauthorized costume party at the $5 million estate, which is undergoing renovation, spread over social media. A number of the attendees appeared to be juveniles.

Red cups and beer cans were can be observed in the video, along with images of teenagers destroying fixtures and a fountain, and demolishing walls and cabinets.

A Sheriff's crime scene van was parked down a long driveway on Maravilla Lane on Monday, and two detectives surveyed the damage.

The damage is estimated to be as high as $100,000.

Sheriff's investigators hope to identify the faces on the video, which means arrests may begin throughout the week.
