VIDEO: Man Cooks Meal During Burglary At Restaurant In D.C., Police Say

WASHINGTON D.C. (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are searching for a "person of interest" they say cooked a meal during an apparent burglary at a restaurant.

The incident unfolded March 18 at an eatery in the 1400 block of Irving Street, Northwest, according to the DC Metropolitan Police Department.

Police released footage from inside the establishment that shows a man in the kitchen cooking a meal on the grill.

They suspect that he got into the establishment by following a delivery person. The incident unfolded between 3:10 a.m. and 5:05 a.m.

Once inside, police say the man waited for the delivery person to leave, then cooked a meal.

An officer at the police station could not confirm the location of the burglary to CBS Los Angeles Sunday night though published reports said it happened at a Five Guys.
