Video, Digital Cameras Stolen From Royal Oak Middle School In Covina

COVINA (CBSLA.com) — School officials asked the public's help Friday to find the burglars who broke into a Covina middle school and stole the TV Media department's video and digital camera equipment.

The burglary is believed to have happened between 4:30 and 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to a Facebook post from Royal Oak Middle School.

The burglars shattered several windows in classrooms, an office and the library, and stole cameras from the school's TV Media department. The value of the stolen equipment was not disclosed.

School officials hoping to salvage the TV Media department's program and are asking for donations of camera equipment. Information about donations can be sent to Mrs. Thompson at mthompson@cousd.net or Mrs. Block at mblock@cousd.net.

Anyone with information about the break-in can call the Covina Police Department or make an anonymous tip to 1-800-78 CRIME (27463).
