Video Allegedly Shows Kobe Bryant Using Racial Slur Toward Dwight Howard

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — There is more fallout news from the clash Tuesday between Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard in the Los Angeles Lakers' home opener.

After hitting Bryant in the face with an elbow, the former teammates hollered back at each other while the play was being reviewed by the officials.

Two days after the confrontation, Dime Magazine says a video posted on Instagram showed Bryant using a racial slur toward Howard.

Eventually, Howard was handed a flagrant foul as well as a technical foul, which was also given to Bryant.

Last season, in a similar incident, Clippers forward Matt Barnes was fined $25,000 after posting a tweet using a racial slur.

In 2011, Bryant was fined $100,000 by the NBA for shouting an anti-gay slur toward a referee after receiving a technical foul in a game against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Lakers have no comment on the alleged incident.
