Veterans' Memorial Vandalized In Alhambra

ALHAMBRA (CBSLA.com) — A veterans' memorial has been vandalized in the San Gabriel Valley, police said Thursday.

Authorities responded to the Alhambra Park Veterans' Memorial Wednesday to find it had been tagged.

"It appears some disrespectful cowards spray painted their tagging crew and tagger names over the memorial," police said.

The city's public works department promptly removed the graffiti.

"This is not okay," the APD said. "With Veterans' Day approaching, we would like to thank all our Veterans for their service!"

Anyone with information about the crime should call the Alhambra Police Department at (626) 570-5157.
