Girl, 16, In Critical Condition After Vernon Crash

VERNON (CBSLA.com) — A 16-year-old girl is in critical condition after a car wreck in Vernon that sent a total of six people to hospitals.

The crash happened at about 1:30 a.m. at Vernon Avenue and Alameda Street. The two-car crash may have been the result of one of the cars running a red light, according to witnesses.

The crash shut down Alameda in both directions while police investigated the crash and cleared the scene.

Alameda was reopened to traffic by 6 a.m.
