Vehicle Plows Into Front Porch Of Downtown L.A. Home

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a vehicle has plowed into the front porch of a home in what police allege was likely an intentional act.

The incident unfolded about 9:13 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of S. Pecan Street in downtown Los Angeles.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the suspect was driving a Honda Accord that subsequently struck a porch in an attempt to allegedly run someone down.

"Neighbors actually held that person, the driver of the vehicle in place for the LAPD," reported Sky 9's Stu Mundel.

Firefighters arrived on scene and treated one person who was subsequently taken to the hospital.

The LAPD is investigating.
