Vehicle Crashes Into Popular Hancock Park Restaurant

HANCOCK PARK  (CBSLA.com) — A vehicle crashed into a restaurant on Highland Avenue on Saturday, prompting a visit from Los Angeles building and safety officials.

A least one person was being examined by paramedics after the vehicle struck Osteria Mozza, in the 600 block of Highland Avenue, following the 12:45 p.m. incident. Brian Humphey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said the condition of the person was not immediately known.

Meanwhile, building and safety officials were sent to the scene to check on the condition of the building. The restaurant was not open at the time of the crash.

Osteria Mozza is owned and operated by celebrity chefs Nancy Silverton and Mario Batali.
