Vanessa Verduga, 'Justice Woman,' Visits KCAL9 Ahead Of Comic-Con

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The creator and star of "Justice Woman" stopped by KCAL9 Sunday to discuss the popular web series.

Vanessa Verduga plays the title character, an assistant district attorney-turned-masked vigilante fighting corruption within the legal system.

One aim of the series is to promote diversity in storytelling.

"Right now as women, our needs are not being met," Verduga said.

"We need more ... female empowerment. More role models for girls to grow up to," she added.

Verduga will be at Comic-Con this week, speaking Thursday at the Web Series Creators Panel and Sunday at the Women in Comics Panel.

For more information, visit the "Justice Woman" website or Comic-Con online.
