VENTURA (CBSLA.com) — A van careened off Highway 101 and into several cars parked at a Ventura motel Wednesday morning.

Firefighters responded at 5:30 a.m. to the Cliff House motel off Highway 101, where a van had crashed into at least three parked cars, forcing one through a wall and starting a fire, Ventura County Fire Capt. Mike Lindbery said.

The two women inside the van were injured, but no motel guests were hurt, Lindbery said. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.

California Highway Patrol officers are investigating the crash.
