Van Nuys Police Fatally Shoot Man Who Was Reportedly Cutting Himself On Bus

VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) — Police in Van Nuys fatally shot a man Sunday after responding to a report of an armed suspect.

Officers responded to a call about a man with a knife cutting himself on a bus near Victory Boulevard and Haskell Avenue.

Police said when officers tried to approach him, the suspect took off running  and then became aggressive with officers.

The suspect was shot and killed.

The man was declared dead at the scene.

No officers were injured in the incident.
