USC First College In U.S. To Launch Burritobox On Campus

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The University of Southern California is the newest owner of the famed Burritobox.

The school is the first collegiate campus in the nation to have the vending machine on campus after it opened for business and late-night snacks at 12 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Daily Trojan.

The first-ever machine, which distributes heated hormone- and antibiotic-free burritos for $3, was installed in early January inside a West Hollywood Mobil station.

Flavors include: roasted potato with cage-free egg and cheese; uncured bacon with cage-free egg; chorizo sausage with cage-free egg and cheese; shredded beef and cheese, and free-range chicken with beans and rice.

If sales are strong, a second Burritobox could be installed on the USC campus, the DT reported.
