RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — As the busiest delivery week of the year continues, a number of UPS delivery drivers are making certain holiday packages reach their destinations by delivering them via bicycle.

The delivery company expects to delivery 585 million packages by the end of the month, which is an 11 percent jump from 2013. The week of Christmas, UPS says 394 packages will be delivered per second throughout the world.

When people think about UPS, they generally envision the large, brown delivery trucks.

However, such a large number of packages delivered at one time require multiple delivery methods.

One local UPS delivery man, Zach Zangger, is using his bike much like a sleigh, towing a cart that carries six to eight loads simultaneously.
