LYNWOOD (CBSLA) — "They have no right to be out there and to be free while my family is broken," said Sandra Rivas of the culprits who remain at large three years following the murder of her daughter.

During the car to car chase, gunshots were fired from the above pictured vehicle, described as a silver or gray 4-door vehicle, possibly a Ford Taurus. The suspect vehicle was last seen west bound on Euclid Avenue. L.A.

The intended target got out of his vehicle and used his Mustang as a shield. Danah was killed, and the family dog was also run over.

"I've been thinking of her being 18, 19. The fact that she didn't get married. The fact that she didn't have kids," said Rivas.

Rivas says the years haven't lessened her pain, but the lack of an arrest has added to it.

"She was a beautiful, beautiful person," her mother said. "She didn't deserve to die the way she died, on a sidewalk, bleeding out when she was coming home from church."

That's why, as she tends to "Danah's garden" as she calls her daughter's grave-site – to honor the beauty her daughter brought to her life.

Rivas hopes this is the last anniversary that Danah's killers walk free.

County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s).

An additional $10,000 reward has been offered through two private citizens, increasing the total reward amount to $30,000.
