UCLA Graduate Student Missing For 10 Days

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — UCLA officials asked for the public's help Wednesday to find a graduate student who has been missing for the past 10 days.

Alison Wu, a graduate student at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, was last seen by her roommate on April 10, according to UCLA officials.

Wu is believed to be in the company of a known male companion, Scott Helton. She is believed to be acting on her own free will, but family and friends have expressed concern because they have not heard from either of them.

A UC San Diego student who identified herself as a friend of Wu's posted on Facebook that the couple was spotted at a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf shop between Wilshire and San Vicente at about 7 a.m. April 13.  The sighting was not confirmed by UCLA officials.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Wu or Helton can call UCPD at (310) 825-1491.
