Uber Driver Stabbed, Robbed In South LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An Uber driver was stabbed and robbed early Tuesday morning in South LA.

Officers responded to a robbery call around 4 a.m. in the 600 block of W. 61st Street, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

When they arrived on scene, police found the driver of a black town car suffering from stab wounds to his neck and face.

The victim told police a man and woman robbed and attacked him.

The woman was later arrested while the male suspect remains on the loose.

Uber released a statement about the attack, stating, "Our heart goes out to the victim. We are working to gather more information about this incident and stand ready to work with the authorities and help them in any way that we can."

The Uber driver was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
