2 Men Arrested Following Standoff At Gas Station In Huntington Park

HUNTINGTON PARK (CBSLA.com) — Two men were arrested on Thursday following a standoff with police at a gas station in Huntington Park.

According to the Huntington Park Police Department, officers attempted to pull over a stolen white van around midnight in the area of Florence and Santa Fe avenues.

A woman surrendered to police, however, two suspected gang members refused to exit the vehicle parked at a Shell Gas Station.

A SWAT team was called to assist at the scene.

Shortly after 4:30 a.m., authorities detained the men after tear gas was deployed into the vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to search the van for any weapons.
