2 Rescued Near Laguna Beach; Lifeguards Warn Of Danger

LAGUNA BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Two women who were stranded on rocks by a high tide were rescued Saturday morning at Three Arch Bay near Laguna Beach.

A helicopter was called in, and one of the women was hoisted to safety. She was transported to Mission Hospital with minor injuries, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

The other woman was escorted off the rocks by Laguna Beach Fire crews and lifeguards.

Both women are in their early 20s.

They were not in the water.

Saltwater pools and caves around Three Arch Bay draw many young visitors, but lifeguards warn the area is dangerous.
